Description
AFRICAN AMERICAN LEGACY APP
The greatness of America derives significantly from its cultural diversity within which certain African Americans played vital roles. Martin Luther King Jr., Rosa Parks, W.
E. B. DuBois, Oprah Winfrey, Michael Jackson, Venus and Serena Williams, and President Barack Obama are only a few examples of African American Heroes who have made
significant contributions to the advancement of America.
African American accomplishments should be and are being taught in schools as history, multicultural education or social studies. While there are numerous books on these
subjects young students and even adults in today’s cyber society are better acquainted with computer based, interactive learning activities which are lacking in these books.
And even better, a mobile App.
That is why we have created the African American Legacy mobile All. An interactive, educational mobile application program. It includes photos with audio narratives, radio
stations featuring Black music and talks around the world, current news, interactive multiple-choice quizzes based on Black History, and video clips for learning about Black
History.
You would also find listings of planned events – frequently updated, as well as over 30 electronic books suitable for both academic and personal learning. Frequently updated
African American blogs are in the App as well.
For African language lovers, top 4 African language video tutorials are included, for learning Swahili, Yoruba, Hausa, and Igbo---including lessons, music, movies,
etc.
AFRICAN-AMERICAN LEGACY APP is available at App Store (iPhone) and Google Play (Android), or as directed elsewhere in the email or text message containing this
