Alpine Update is a P2P app for mountain enthusiasts to obtain and share the very latest information for the ever-changing conditions of their specific mountain sports e.g. ice-climbing, alpinism, backcountry, snowshoeing, high-altitude trekking etc. An easy to use platform with numerous interesting features, the User first decides their ‘rush' and then follows the intuitive search and filtering options that allows them to compare routes, choose their objective and then easily collect all of the information needed as well as the latest updates on conditions. AU also includes numerous safety features such as geo-located SOS calling and messaging as well as a 'Big Brother' that creates a safety link to those that could help in the event of a problem. AU uses GPS background location. Continued use of GPS running in the background can decrease battery life.
